Saturday, April 21:  Should I Stay or Should I Go?  Research suggests that the de-churched (those who have left the organised Church but not the Christian faith) are the fastest-growing "denomination" in the West. Participants will aim to understand this phenomenon, drawing on the work of George Barna, John Savage, and Alan Jamieson. The day will be facilitated by Paul Wilson. He was a convert to Christianity as a student. Later, as a teacher of mathematics, he was also active as a pastor in charismatic and evangelical circles. As time went on he found himself broadening his perspective considerably - without losing a deep appreciation for his roots. He now hosts a small house- church called "Sanctuary" which began as a safe place for the de-churched.
