Saturday September 27: “Who can be saved?
                                              Is there a case for
                                              Universalism?”

This workshop sets out to explore if there is reason to believe that everyone will be “saved”. Can all people enjoy a relationship with God regardless of their religion (or lack of it)? In exploring the two questions and the possible connections between them, the hope is to build a bridge between theology and spirituality.
Paul Wilson is married with three children and five grandchildren. Having become a Christian at university he has been involved with the charismatic house church movement since 1974. He has worked in education all his life, mostly at the Bede Sixth Form College in Billingham. He has also worked as a church planter and pastor, and is currently involved in Workshop, in Galilee and in Sanctuary, none of which is a congregation in the usual sense. He has Masters degrees in mathematics and theology.

Thursday October 2: “Crafting our Prayers”
A day using the paper-crafting techniques to design prayers and facilitate quiet reflection and activity. (No previous experience of paper-crafting is necessary.)

Can't stitch? Then come along anyway and explore the fabric, thread and lots more that you will have to play with. Lynne Burke and Heather Keogh lead the day, as they did the Spring workshop in 2007.

Saturday October 18: "All shall be well"
Waiting on God is about trust at all times and in all things, and believing that all will be well and all manner of things will be well - so that we can recognise the deep peace in the midst of chaos that surrounds us at all times. Linda Potter is Team Rector of Great Aycliffe and Chilton. Prayer in the silence and waiting on God has been at the centre of ministry for Linda in her parish work - and in prison, where she was lay chaplain for a few years.

Saturday October 25: “Spirituality for Social Justice:
                                        Holiness in a Toxically
                                        Busy World"
Do you ever feel the church is summed u
p as “ Jesus is coming - look busy”? Does the busyness of work (or Church life) ever leave you feeling  like there is no time or energy for social action? How do we better work out our personal holiness for healthier balance, better communities and social justice, in and out of church? Reflect in quiet with others about the possibility of holiness , personal and political. Jennifer Smith is a  United States citizen permanently resident in the UK and serving as a Methodist minister in the Kettering and Corby Circuit . She also works with the Methodist Church of Nigeria to support a variety of social welfare projects. Before coming into Ministry she lectured in US history and politics. She has lived in the UK since 1993.
