Friends of St Antony's

The Priory is seen by its supporters and staff as a gift. It's setting and atmosphere are unique. It values its Friends highly - those who want to share the pleasure it offers and who wish to work and pray to generate enthusiasm for the work.

More than 150 people in Durham County and beyond count themselves Friends of St Antony's. They

  • pray regularly for the Priory's life and work;

  • give practical help where their circumstances allow;

  • make the Priory's work more widely known;

  • offer an annual donation of at least £10.00.

As far as possible, the Priory staff attempt to ensure that the traffic isn't one-way. The Friends are

  • regularly prayed for by name in our chapel prayers;

  • welcome to visit or stay at the Priory, by arrangement;

  • invited to attend an annual quiet day specially for Friends to meet for conversation, prayer, worship and a meal;

  • kept informed through the Priory's programs and the biannual newsletters of the Society.

Margaret Hinshelwood is the person to contact if you are interested in the Friends of St Antony's. Email her for any information at ...   *
