| Liberation
for All Creation
is a short course designed specially for those who already accompany
others on their spiritual journeys, and also for those who wish to do
so. It focuses on the wisdom which comes from the Ignatian Spiritual
Exercises, aiming to engage the group through teaching, personal and
corporate reflection and discussion.
The course is
intended primarily for those who already have a good grounding in
Ignatian spirituality, achieved through reading, reflection, prayer and
personal retreat. Sessions will be on Thursdays from 10am to 4pm
beginning on April 22 and continuing for six consecutive weeks
at the Priory. Each week is given over to a section of the Spiritual
Exercises, paying particular attention to differing responses to our
place in God's ongoing creation:
Week 1 -
Preparing the Ground
The God we meet and the self we meet at the beginning of the
Exercises: exploring our inner and outer landscapes.
Week 2 - Love
and Desire
Asking how we experience being loved by God and exploring our
response to that love.
Week 3 - What
shall I Choose?
Election and discernment.
Week 4 - To
Know, Love, and Follow
The transforming relationship with Jesus.
Week 5 - The
Surprise of the Passion
Compassion for Jesus and all creation.
Week 6 - Living
in Consolation
Becoming and living as Resurrection people.
