St Antony's is a peaceful oasis in the heart of Durham City.

By car:

There is very limited parking at The Priory itself but spaces can be reserved if you have restricted mobility. Please contact in advance to ensure parking is reserved for you. The closest parking is at The Sands where you can park all day. On street parking is metered and for limited duration. Fromthe A1(M) at Junction 5 take the A690 towards Durham.

At the first roundabout take the right lane and last exit off the roundabout. Follow this road downhill and the entrance to The Priory driveway is on the left just before the traffic lights and marked by 2 bollards. Continue right at traffic lights for The Sands car park.

By Bus:

There is a Park & Ride service in Durham with 3 large car parks on the city outskirts. One is off the A690 to the north and located just the other side of junction 5 of the A1(M).  It costs about £2.00 per person for a return ticket into the city centre.

By train:

The train station is within walking distance (about 15-20 minutes average). From the train station walk down the roadway and take the steps off on the left. At the bottom continue along to the left to the large roundabout with traffic lights. Cross over, keeping to the A690, and on over the river by Millburngate Bridge. Take the slip road off to the left by the Library. Walk up Claypath and just past the traffic lights on the right hand side will be 2 bollards which mark the entrance to the drive leading up to St Antony’s. Taxis are also generally available from the station.
